Membangun Ruang Kelas Virtual Dalam Meningkatkan Prestasi Akademik Mahasiswa
Abstract
Pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat memiliki tujuan menumbuhkan minat dan antusiasme belajar menggunakan media sosial dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik mahasiswa. Mengingat pertumbuhan media sosial yang sangat tinggi namun pemanfaatannya hanya untuk hiburan, pertemanan dan chatting. Untuk itu, seminar ini dilakukan agar para peserta memiliki pemahaman mengenai peran media sosial menunjang proses pendidikan dan pembelajarannya. Seminar ini diikuti sebanyak 62 peserta yang terdiri dari mahasiswa dan dosen Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Pontianak. Seminar dilaksanakan menggunakan metode ceramah, diskusi dan tanya jawab. Hasil seminar menekankan perlunya membangun ruang kelas virtual melalui media sosial agar memudahkan dosen dan mahasiswa melakukan kolaborasi antarperguruan tinggi dengan cara bertukar informasi, pengetahuan dan pembelajaran bersama dalam meningkatkan prestasi akademik mahasiswa.
